Hurting people often struggle in silence. Recognizing the vicious cycle of isolation that people can enter after a devastating experience, Elizabeth Marston uses her warm presence and skills as a trauma specialist to help people express their pain and move from the isolation to connection.
Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in wide range of settings. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She recently completed a postgraduate certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies through the Justice Resource Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts. She has also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Elizabeth is passionate about ongoing personal growth and continuing professional development. As she increases her own knowledge, Elizabeth also enjoys sharing what she learns with others in the form of trainings and educational events. She is dedicated to the community, and she is a member of multiple service organizations.
